MOST FAMOUS MILITARY DOG IN AMERICA

Stacey at Keep My Soldier Safe, a/k/a G.R.I.T.S. reports on an upcoming honor for the MOST FAMOUS MILITARY DOG IN AMERICA. I recently wrote a post about Lex. Lex was stationed in Iraq with his handler, Marine Cpl. Dustin Lee, when he was injured and Cpl. Lee was killed in performance of their duties clearing explosive devices. Cpl. Lee’s family later petitioned the USMC successfully and was allowed to adopt Lex.

This month Lex will be awarded a special award at a Tribute Ceremony for wounded or killed K-9’s and their wounded or killed Marine partners at Eglin Air Force Base. Please go to the link up top and read Stacey’s post for further information.

  1. It truly was!

  2. In this case it really brings meaning to him being ‘Man’s Best Friend” My condolences to the Lee Family for the loss of their son. I am sure they are giving Lex the best and he giving them the unconditional love dogs are famous for. Glad to hear he was brought home to their home! Awesome!
