Dems in Congress fail our troops and put them in harms way!

The Republicans put forth a bill to fund the War in Iraq without any strings attached. It was defeated by the Democrats. The Democrats put forth a bill to fund the Iraq War with strings attached, one being the troops pull out by next December. Subsequently, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and, Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. pushed for the added strings.

Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, said this week that if Congress cannot pass legislation that ties war money to troop withdrawals, they would not send President Bush a bill this year.

WARNING: If you are offended by strong language, stop here!!

What the hell is wrong with these people? Al-Qaida and the Taliban must be singing praises to Allah!! To begin with, they are affecting the safety and welfare of our troops and our nation’s ability to defend itself in a time of War. Those a$$holes are crazy! They ought to be charged with complicity in the death of every soldier that results from their negligent political pandering!! As far as I am concerned they are all guilty of aiding and abetting the enemy and the b@$t@rd$ ought to be charged with treason during a time of war.

The Democrats say that Bush and the DOD will have to juggle money from the DOD funds. However, that will be a problem of enormous consequences:

Pentagon chief Robert Gates warned on Thursday that without the money, he would shortly order plans to lay off civilian employees, terminate contracts and cut base operations.

The DOD funds are allocated. Taking funds from their budget will greatly impair our military if base operations are cut. Certainly it will affect military families already burdened . To make matters worse, this will put over 100,000 people out of work at Christmas time. It will affect countless military families at Christmas time. And, it will affect the ability to provide needed materials and supplies for our troops.

This comes at a time when the necessary equipment for our troops is finally beginning to arrive in the field that they need to survive and destroy the IEDs and other explosive devices that are killing most of our troops. Haven’t our troops suffered enough because of the political escapades of the socialists element trying to take over our government and our country?

What I want to know is this, what is wrong with mainstream America that they can’t see what the hell is happening right here at home under their very noses? Have we as a nation really become that lazy and complacent that we refuse to see we are in serious trouble from two very real enemies, radical Islamics and Socialists, who both want to destroy our freedoms and our Democracy. Are we going to just sit back on our lazy @$$e$ and do nothing.

Patrick Henry said, “give me liberty or give me death!”

Were he alive today he would hang his head in shame. I found a quote this week. I just can’t remember where. If anyone can tell me the source I’ll give proper credit. But,the quote is so profound, I simply had to use it here:

I leave you with this quote from General Giap of the Vietnam military and I urge all Americans to learn from history and take heed:

“What we still don’t understand is why you Americans stopped the bombing of Hanoi! You had us on the ropes. If you pressed us a little harder, just for another day or two, we were ready to surrender! It was the same at the battles of TET. You defeated us! We knew it, and we thought you knew it. But we were elated to notice your media were definitely helping us. They were causing more disruption in America than we could in the battlefields. We were ready to surrender. You had won!”

It is time, now to say loud and clear, “NOT AGAIN! NEVER AGAIN! We will not abandon our troops again!!!”

  1. Oh yeah, and stop listening to idiots like me and devildog:)

  2. Winning will look like Germany. Losing will look like Pakistan.
Study the history and you will get my meaning.

Diplomacy, as devildog pointed out, is constantly being played, you just don’t see it as much as images of a blown up Iraqi market. That’s much more news worthy don’t you think?

I must disagree in a way with Devildog’s summation of the Quran though. I have read it, and I find it to be a beautiful book, but taken literally it can be distorted beyond recognition. All holy books written by man have common themes of intolerance of those who do not acceot “their” version of G-D. The radicals of Islam are no different than the radicals at Westboro Baptist church, in idealogy that is. Islamic radicals have just done a better job at convincing masses of people to follow them. Its pretty easy actually when taught from birth actually. Tha’s why they are so insular, they do not want the “sheeple” to be exposed to anything other than their radical interpretation of Islam.

Read all you can of the history of the region and it may help you understand it better. They are an antiquated people who “reason” differently than us westerners. Doesn’t make it wrong or right, its their way.

    Read, read, read young grasshopper…

  3. Because they consider diplomacy a weakness! But, even though we know this we are always trying to negotiate and use diplomatic means. If the media reported all the news and didn’t censor the news you would be very surprised at all that is really being done.
Your point about winning and losing would be very appropriate if the Islamic extremists had not made it plain the intend to destroy our nation and kill any of us who do not become Muslims.

I have a suggestion, buy a copy of the Koran. Read what the Koran tells them is their obligation as true followers of the faith with regards to non-believers.

I have a post you might find informative, Iraq, Impeachment, Treasonous Lawmakers, which I wrote. Bob at The Daily Blogster wrote a post, Tuesday 21 Feb 2006, which provides insight into why we are at war. He has an image there that says it all. In case it doesn’t show up, I am posting that imagein a new post! Take a look at “The Islamic 100 Year Plan.”

  4. What do you think WINNING will look like? What about LOSING? Why aren’t we doing diplomacy? Why aren’t we bringing the other countries from that area in?

  5. No Problem, it’s what we do for eachother right? Now move out a draw fire!!!!

  6. TRM, you are right . I owe Frecklescassie an apology. I don’t usually post such harsh replies. The only excuse I can offer is frustration. I appreciate your reminding me of my manners. Thank you!

Frecklescassie, I apologize for the rudeness of my comments.

  7. And freckles just my opinion on your question, the answer may be that we are not finished over there, and it is to our advantage to have a presence in the region, especially now

  8. Go easy on freckles devildog, from what I can tell she is a high school kid and smarter than the average one, at least she is concerned about more than what color eye shadow her girlfriend wore last week. Let’s try to help her understand, versus yelling at her. I am sure some aging hippy school teacher put some very lefty thoughts in her head…

  9. Frecklescassie, I apologize that our troops must defend our nation against an enemy that declared war on us! Now you happy a$$wipe? You tell me, is there anything about America you think is worth saving. Isn’t our freedom and way of life important? Do you think some benevolent “being” just gave us our freedom? Get your head out of your @$$ and see the light!

  10. Have you heard the latest Dem tactic. Now our surge has prevented the Iraqi from doing their part and we have caused the Iraqi to hate their troops and start taking it out on them or some such bull$hit! Anything from the Dems/socialists but responsibility and accountability for their own inactions and failure to support the troops!

  11. support the troops by not making them fight a war with their hands tied behind their backs. Lets fund their uniforms, body armor, weapons, ammo, food, clothing, sanitary living conditions, medical bills… that would be a fabulous way to support the troops instead of getting nit picky on the things that would make soldiers safe and make them MORE effective in combat.

I’m so sick of congress I want to vomit.

  12. Support the troops by bringing them home. We’re five years in. Why isn’t there an exit strategy?

  13. I’m with ya buddy, keep yer dick up!
