Impeachment – If you can’t beat them, discredit them!

MoveOn.org has a petition to impeach Dick Chaney. It really doesn’t matter why. The whole thing is nothing but a tactic. A repeat if you will of desperate men and women who are incapable of winning an election fairly. So, as was done during the Nixon administration by Ted Kennedy, you discredit them [the Republicans], cloud them in legalese. You pick a topic that is very near and dear to all Americans.

Then you keep sending out feelers by telling the public one of their basic freedoms has been infringed upon. You do this over and over even though it gets you no where. The goal is to sway public opinion. Make them, the public, think it was their idea, their outrage. Once you have fueled the fire enough and stoked it carefully you move in for the kill with popular backing.

Come election time, a sweep occurs. You have successfully reclaimed political control of the country! Never mind that you twisted the truth to get there. Never mind that you placed the safety of the nation second to your own political ambitions! Never mind that you didn’t earn it or that you haven’t had an original thought to improve things in the country for years.

What a pathetic bunch you are!

  1. lol, YM, you are on a roll today!

  2. “George Washington is the only president who didn’t blame the previous administration for his troubles.”

    I love that!!! So true!
That’s another thing – never take responsibility for your ineffectiveness.

  3. Very nice Mike! Very well said.

  4. Truth is not determined by majority vote. Which is why,
Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy.

In Global Politics is often thought of as partisan warfare.
Yet without bullets but Political violence has casualties.
The first casualty often is the truth.
The second is decency. The third is honor.
and last killed in partisan warfare are often the very nation itself.

An old saying in US Politics is perhaps only
George Washington is the only president who didn’t blame the previous administration for his troubles.

  5. YM you said it all very eloquently!

  6. They really have a finger on the pulse of reality, don’t they?
    NOT!
And I’m sure you have noticed that so many of their claims of CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR have no real evidence to site.

If you can’t win fairly, lie, cheat and then lie some more.
