Progress for America

Progress for America has a great video advertisement which you can view that reminds us all why we fight the War on Terror. It is also a good reminder of why we fight in Iraq and why we fight in Afghanistan.

Progress for America is supposed to be non-partisan. I really haven’t had a chance to look into that too closely. But, so far I like what they have to say. Anyone else out there got any information or opinions?

  1. I’ll have to find it.

  2. Do you remember about how long ago you posted about Turkey?

  3. Actually it appears we trained one of his operatives who left the Egyptian Army involuntarily after Sadat was killed by the group of which he was a member. This man was trained by the U.S, Military at Fort Bragg while he served in Egypt.

He later was sent to the U.S. by bin Laden to spy on America and get all the military secrets and other intelligence he could gather. He became a citizen, joined our military and got stationed at Fort Bragg. He stole military secrets and passed them to bin Laden. He also married here.

While in the military he took leave to train and fight with Afghanistan against Russia after he was denied permission to go by his C.O.. At the time the cold war still existed. So the U.S. and other allies helped them drive the Russians back out of Afghanistan.

At one time he was a double agent. He worked with the CIA and the FBI. We thought he was spying for us on terrorists. But he was in actuality spying for bin Laden. He would make sure those being spied on didn’t get caught. For over twelve years he spied for bin Laden.

He was also involved in the planning for the 9/11 attacks. When terrorists were captured in New York I think it was, some of the documents he stole were found there. He was long gone by then.

I can’t find my notes on him and I don’t remember his name. But he was certainly effective.

    I’m reading up on Nixon.

  4. Did the US train Bin Laden at all? Why did we help the Afghans and not Russia?

Well, you appeared mad because your writing style changed a bit. I’m glad you’re not mad, neither am I.

Why did Nixon give the reactor to Iran? I came across a few government briefs about giving like F-22 bombers to Iran and I did further searching and I found that article that said Nixon gave the reactor to them.

  5. The four books above are excellant. As for bin Laden, during the Afghan war to free itself from Russia, we helped the Afghans. Bin Laden was involved in that fight. He did go to University well before this but he got involved in the fundimentalists movement well before we ever had any contact with him, too. When the Afghan war was over, he offered to help defend Kuwait when Iraq invaded them. But Saudi Arabia had already picked up on his by then heavy involvement in fundimantalism and did not want him or his army back in Saudi Arabia. Instead they allowed the U.S. to set up a staging area in Saudi Arabia to meet Kuwait’s request for help. Bin Laden had already become involved in the movement to spread Islam world wide and to establish a new Caliphat. He was furious when his home country turned down his help to accept the help of “infidels.” He declared war on America and also said if the Islamists could defeat Russia, then they could defeat the U.S.. And, if they defeated the US, the only remaining super power at that time, they could defeat anyone and begin to carry out Muhammad’s wishes. You have to understand that in Saudi Arabia, they practice the extreme type of Islam called Wahabi which is the root of the Islamic fundimentalists. The fundimentalists Islam originated out of Saudi Arabia.

As far as me being mad, I don’t have time to get made over a post on my blog, lol.

As for the Turks, well they lost their caliphat after the 2nd World War. They picked the wrong side. But they were already beginning to move back toward fundimantalism. Turkey had one Muslim ruler who implemented Democracy. He also seperated the “church and state” so to speak. If you look back at the posts in the earlier months of my blog, I have a pretty long thing on the breakup of Turkey, the formation of the countries on the Middle East and the eventual changes that occurred in Turkey prior to their split up. I have a lot of links and references.

Right now, Saudi Arabia is where the clerics in the movement are trained.

  6. They have killed our soldiers and targeted our people, no doubt about that. But why? They wouldn’t just attack for no reason? Even hate needs a reason? How can someone be mad if not provoked? If I wasn’t asking these questions, you wouldn’t be mad, right? My point is that there is a root cause to all the violence, hate and killing. I think it started with the US helping Israel. We were only helping Israel, we ignored Palestine. We didn’t help any of the other countries, unless we felt nice or felt we had something to gain. That reactor Iran has, Nixon gave it to them, without a thought about what Iran would plan to do with it. Maybe if Nixon hadn’t given it to Iran, they wouldn’t be doing any uranium enrichment. “In the heart of Tehran sits one of Iran’s most important nuclear facilities, a dome-shaped building where scientists have conducted secret experiments that could help the country build atomic bombs. It was provided to the Iranians by the United States.
The Tehran Research Reactor represents a little-known aspect of the international uproar over the country’s alleged weapons program. Not only did the U.S.. provide the reactor in the 1960s as part of a Cold War strategy, America also supplied the weapons-grade uranium needed to power the facility—fuel that remains in Iran and could be used to help make nuclear arms.
Bin Laden didn’t attack us because he only hated us. He attacked because he hated us For the wrongs we’ve committed against Muslims. If you check out info. about him on wikipedia, you’ll find that he was very educated, studying civil engineering, economics and public administration. He’s not dumb either. Professors influenced him a lot, Muslim Brotherhood. For decades, Sharon and Israeli forces were assaulting Palestinians. Palestinians kept their ground, but Israel was fighting with weapons that we gave them. The US doesn’t seem to care about Palestine. Before that, the British took land from Palestinians and gave it to Israelis, because they wanted their own country and they said it was theirs to begin with. The thing is, the Turks won it and the Palestinians settled there and had been living there for a long time. No one asked the Palestinians if they were okay with the decision.
Know of any books on Anti-American jihad? I’ll see if I can find reviews of those books, transcripts or find them at the library.

  7. !.] Why are we at war?
They attacked us first! Sine 1979, they have repeatedly killed Americans at home and abroad with increasingly more dangerouis and destructive weapons. They have twice tried to kill our president.

4.] In Iraq all but 3 or 4 provinces are peaceful. New schools, hospitals, wells, water treatment plants, local industry have all been re-established. Power now goes to all of Iraq instead of only the major towns as it did under Saddam. Local governments are functioning and the provinces are becoming thriving communities.

In those problem areas, primarily around Baghdad, the Iraqi and coalition forces have been going through sector by sector from house to house clearing out trash, terrorists and weapons. As each sector is cleared the Iraqi police stay behind and maintain the order.

The locals have begun to reopen businesses and start new ones. They have been thanking the coalition and their own troops. The Iraqi Military and Security forces have been assuming responsibility of more and more areas with our troops acting as back-ups.

Many Iraqi now say that when they go to other Arab nations they start to feel the fear of death and persecution they no longer feel in Iraq. They are even approached by extremists who try to frighten them into start fighting the coalition again once they return home.

In all fairness, no one can predict when a war will end in advance. They can only look at what they see at that given time and try to project. As for troops being redeployed, well that’s their job. War isn’t fair. Lok at the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team. They were in the airport at Kuwait ob their way home. So why were they redeployed? Becauswe they were the ones most capable of dealing with the terrorists stronghold around Baghdad. The Stryker Brigades were formed and trained specifically for this type of mobile and quick deployment in troubled areas.

I know the troops in that brigade and their families were terribly disappointed and even angry and frustrated. I don’t blame them. But, they are professionals. They also know that they were the best for that job. So, they will grumble, as soldiers do, and then they will get the job done because they were “the best ones” for that job. God willing, they will complete their mission and “all’ return home safely.

Part of our problems esrly on in the war was inadequate training and supplies. But that didn’t happen on Bush’s watch. Bernie Sanders did this to the military with his budget cuts.

Now that all our units are so well trained, there is much less loss of life. New, green troops have to be melded in so that what has been accomplished won’t be undone. This is anything but a conventional war. We are fighting cowards who hide behind women and children and private citizens. That is because they know that we will do anything to avoid collateral damage while they could care less.

As we make more progress, the enemy will do all it can to undo it. They will do all they can to bring in more and more outside forces. You have to remeber, these people want a world wide Muslim nation. They will either kill or enslave those who don’t convert. But even the converts will never be on an equal footing. It is part of the very core of their beliefs to spread Islamworld wide and kill any “infidels” by their own words as heard on their video and audio tapes.

7.] As for the armor on the vehicles, as I previously said and a member of the unit involved concurred, they put their own armor on the vehicles. And they did a damn good job of it too. President Bush and Mr. Rumsfeld had no way to know they needed to get more body armor and to armor up our vehicles prior to the start of the war. However I am sure that had they ask the enemy to hold off on their attacks and additional fighting until everything we needed was in place they would have laughed in our faces and killed even more of our troops. Our trops were given what could be given to them as it was made available.

As for the milbloggers, well, had you read them you would know those troops speak their mind. The only limit is on violating security measures. You want to know what war is reallt like, what progress is or isn’t made, what lt’s like to watch your best friend die while you stand by helplessly, help an Iraqi childget life saving heart surgery, get a new wheel chaif for an Iraqi father who hasn’t been able to pick up his kids since Sadda,’s men broke his and he has no legs, help those guys get candy, shoes, clothes, school supplies, soccor balls, read about several of our men being made honorary sheikhs because of all they did for the locals, you nameit it is on their blogs. Think the media sucks, so do they? Think the guys and gals get down over the lack of support at home, well they do and they say so. Think they are greatful as hell for every card and letter and care package, they are and they tell you so on their blogs. Want to know if a part of them dies when they have to kill, or if they see a chuild or innicent civilian killed, well they do and they share that too. Think their blogs are biased, hell yes they are. They love America and they will tell you so. But don’t think for one minute that these bloggers are a bunch of mindlkess, uneducated, drolls, they aren’t. I served in the 60’s during the draft. I volunteered as did 4 of my brothers and sisters. We all did so because we felt it was tour duty to payback and protect what we had here at home.

But draftees aren’t there by choice. Theer whole attitude is different. The overall educational level and level of expertise is also lower on the average. The troops in our military now are more educated than the average American. Those in the reserves come from every professional level and job in America.

SO,IF YOU DON’T READ THE MILBLOGS IT IS YOUR LOSS!

11]. When my nephew was killed Mr. Bush personally called his wife and Mother. He also refuses to let the press make a political issue out of it. He feels the pain of every death personally.

As for the treatment of our prisoners, do you mean you are worried that the enemy will torture them, rape them, behead the,and hangtheir burning bodies from bridges? Or are you worried that they will gut our dead, fill their bodies withg explosives and use them as IED’s? If you go back and read that judges decision you will see that she declared the actions illegal and then told the administration what they needed to do to be complkiant. Had what we did been crue;. etc. zI am sure the judge would have said that too. She didn’t.

14.] Three meals a day, their religious books and such available and untouched by non-muskims, freemedical care by one of over 20 doctors on site, showers and clean clothes every day, sounds pretty bad to me. The prisoners have been trained to complain and make accusations that will draw on public sympathies along with btheir other training. They are also taught to study the Koran until they have it memorized while in prison. They know exactly what to say and do for public outcry. Abu Ghraib was a single incident. Enough said on that.

16.] Terrorism: The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.
I will add that the indescriminate kiling of women and children witout regard for collateral damage is a terrorists act to me. When one uses force or violence in a manner that is soley for the purpose of instilling fear that is terrorism. Many try to call this freedom fighting at times. However, even those people are tried if they have been indescriminate in their killing of innocent people. Bombing buildings full of unsuspecting people is terroris, It is also the act of a coward!

Iran has always been involved in the war on terror from the background. Saudi Arabi practices Wahabi which is the basis of the Islamiists doctrine. Syria provides supplies, Saudi Arabia the religious training, and Iran the military training and trasined Iranians too.

Here are some good books on the subject:

“Bin Laden, The Man Who Declared War on
    America”, by Yossef Bodansky

“Jihad, The Rise of Militant Islam in Central Asia”,by Ahmed Rashid

    “Taliban” by Ahmed Rashid

“American Jihad, The Terrorists Living Among Us”,
    by Steven Emerson

I’ll get to the rest later!

  8. Now, what do these posts have to do with what I posted? What is your point exactly? Somewhere down the lines as I was reading through, I seem to forget which of my claims you’re arguing with me about. It seems like you’re everywhere here. Make an argument and keep it focused. I’m trying to do that with my posts. Please, don’t let your sources speak for you. I posted the cfr page as a counterexample to accusations that the “conspiracy” page gave.

  9. Code Pink started a campm this summer for high school kisd. The purpose of the camp is to teach high school kids how to be politically active like the SDS on college campus.

Many schools across America started teaching that the Holucaust didn’t happen. In California, a survivor of one of the Camps went back and visited her camp. When she returned, she noticed her grand daughter was being taught that it didn’t happen.

She wrote up a paper on the events as they actually happened and went to he grand daughters school and ask permission to read her paper and talk about that terrible time. She was so good that other schools started asking her to speak. The NEA has been behind many of the changes that have “changed” history. While emphasising America’s mistakes, it de-emphasises the changes that were made or that many past ways and events are no longer tolerated. Legislation can create laws to fix problems. Time eliminates attitude and wrong thinking.

By the way, look up the NEA and the NACP.

  10. If you go to the website for the Democratic Socialists of America, then go to their “about page” this is what you will find:

Now what do other sources say about them:

Until 1999, DSA hosted the website of the Progressive Caucus. Following a subsequent expose of the link between the two entities, the Progressive Caucus established its own website under the auspices of Congress. But DSA and the Progressive Caucus remain intimately linked. All 58 Progressive Caucus members also belong to DSA. In addition to these members of Congress, other prominent DSA members include Noam Chomsky, Ed Asner, Gloria Steinem, and Cornel West, who serves as the organization’s honorary Chair……

In the wake of 9/11, DSA characterized the terror attacks as acts of retaliation for American-perpetrated global injustices. “We live in a world,” said DSA, “organized so that the greatest benefits go to a small fraction of the world’s population while the vast majority experiences injustice, poverty, and often hopelessness. Only by eliminating the political, social, and economic conditions that lead people to these small extremist groups can we be truly secure.”

Strongly opposed to the U.S. War on Terror and America’s post-9/11 military engagements in Afghanistan and Iraq, DSA is a member organization of the United For Peace and Justice anti-war coalition led by Leslie Cagan, a longtime committed socialist who aligns her politics with those of Fidel Castro’s Communist Cuba.”>

On United for Peace and Justice:

UFPJ was officially created on October 25, 2002 in the Washington, DC offices of People For the American Way. Its initial membership consisted of approximately 70 organizations. Prior to UFPJ’s founding, the anti-war movement had earned a reputation as a hodgepodge of radical elements. All the large-scale peace demonstrations to that point had been held under the auspices of International ANSWER, an organization aligned with the Workers World Party; Global Exchange, headed by the longtime communist Medea Benjamin; and Not In Our Name, a project organized by Ramsey Clark and fellow leaders of the Revolutionary Communist Party. UFPJ was created explicitly to put a milder face on the anti-war movement, although from its inception, UFPJ shared with those groups a passionate hatred for the United States and for capitalism.

The Co-Chair and principal leader of UFPJ is Leslie Cagan, an original founder of the Committees of Correspondence (a remnant organization created by the American Communist Party upon going out of business) and a strong supporter of Fidel Castro since the 1960s; Cagan proudly aligns her politics with those of Communist Cuba.”>

If you go to the website for the Progressive Caucus, you’ll read the following:

Wikipedia says The Progressive Caucus is a group of 65 Democratic legislators in the U.S. House of Representatives anchored by U.S. Rep. Bernie Sanders, a DSA member,[2] has been said to have unofficial ties to the DSA. The DSA’s website included commentary supportive of the legislative caucus throughout much of the late 1990s.

The Progressive Caucus today includes Sanders and more than 60 other members of the House of Representatives, all of them leftist Democrats and almost all in districts heavily gerrymandered to guarantee the re-election of any Democratic Party incumbent, no matter how extreme.

On November 11, 1999, the Progressive Caucus drafted its Position Paper on economic inequality. It reads, in part, as follows: “Economic inequality is the result of two and a half decades of government policies and rules governing the economy being tilted in favor of large asset owners at the expense of wage earners. Tax policy, trade policy, monetary policy, government regulations and other rules have reflected this pro-investor bias. We propose the introduction or reintroduction of a package of legislative initiatives that will close America’s economic divide and address both income and wealth disparities. … The concentration of wealth is a problem because it distorts our democracy, destabilizes the economy and erodes our social and cultural fabric.”

In order “to bring new life to the progressive voice in U.S. politics,” the Progressive Caucus has worked closely with Progressive Challenge, a project of the Institute for Policy Studies. Progressive Challenge is a coalition through which the activities and talking points of leftist groups are synchronized and harmonized with one another, producing coordinated, mutually-reinforcing propaganda from some 200 seemingly-unconnected groups.

The Progressive Caucus recently crafted its “Progressive Promise” document, which advocates socialized medicine; radical environmentalism; the redistribution of wealth; the elimination of numerous provisions of the Patriot Act; dramatic reductions in the government’s intelligence-gathering capabilities, debt relief for poor countries; and the quick withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. These measures, says the Progressive Caucus, would help “re-build U.S. alliances around the world, restore international respect for American power and influence, and reaffirm our nation’s constructive engagement in the United Nations and other multilateral organizations.”

Until 1999 the Progressive Caucus worked in open partnership with Democratic Socialists of America. After the press reported on this link, the connections suddenly vanished from both organizations’ websites.”>

    Read this link: http://www.islam-in-focus.com/Baptist%20Press%20Interview%20-%20Iraq.htm
He says the Iraq situation is good. He’s only been there for a few days or weeks? Reporters have been in the frontline for months and years, you tell them that. News people have died, some have been injured or kidnapped. Does he think he’s so great that he can challenge the media? I think that’s arrogant and ignorant. He’d be saying something very different he had served there for years or been under those conditions for months.

  12. http://www.conspiracyarchive.com/NWO/Council_Foreign_Relations.htm Checked the first part of the URL, CONSPIRACY-I thought a lot of people hate conspiracies or conspiracy theories. They’re just a lot of speculating or like spinning tales. If you go to the About ICA page it starts off by saying, “The only purpose of this site is to educate and inform. The real history of the world can only be understood through painstaking research and dogged determination.” That means, you shouldn’t just believe by just checking out the site, you should also check out other sources. I don’t recommend Fox. Murdoch is a filthy, rich, rightist. And Fox caters to Bush, that’s all I’m going to say about that. And further down they say, “At the heart of this site you can access a collection of articles and documents that present details and investigations into the new world order, the illuminati, secret societies, the new age, and the paranormal. In many cases you might not believe what is presented, however, you are emphatically urged to look into the matter for yourself.” This is a disclaimer saying that they cannot be held responsible for making readers lean a certain way. By all means, look up more info. not depend on only a few sources. I go to google news to find news from all over the world, not just US media.

  13. http://forums.sohh.com/showthread.php?t=352519

OHH…now I see why you agree with Shorrosh…he believes things are going well in Baghdad. He challenges the US media, who have been reporting on the details and been in Iraq much longeer than he has been. Has he been to Fallujah, Kirkuk, or Ramadi or other places where there’s heavy gunfire or dangers of roadside bombs? NO.

“On the road to Tikrit, which they traversed without incident, they visited with several groups of American soldiers. One G.I. showed Shorrosh a booby trap for which the soldiers must remain on guard: a 6-by-30-inch soil-colored pipe bomb they had found. Shorrosh told the soldiers that he was praying for them. “They thanked us for the prayers,” he said. Whether at the Central Palace or on the road, he found the soldiers to be “very positive, very dedicated, and very responsive, just wanting to get the job done.”

They got lucky that day. Not all soldiers are as congenial as those one seem to be. I can’t be sure they weren’t just putting up a face, but it is possible.

  15. I checked out info about Shorrosh as well as found links where it was posted. I couldn’t find any info on his TV documentaries. I did find reaction to the article posted in a forum. It appears to me that he is just speculating. It appears that he is very Anti-American. Here are a few interesting comments I found there:

    >>Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities who promote Islam as the religion of African-Americans while insisting Christianity is for whites only.

LMFAO@Jesse Jackson being called a muslim..>>Engage the American public in dialogues, discussions, debates in colleges, universities, public libraries, radio, TV, churches and mosques on the virtues of Islam.

What’s wrong with this?>>Yell ”foul, out-of-context, personal interpretation, hate crime, Zionist, un- American, inaccurate interpretation of the Quran” anytime Islam is criticized or the Quran is analyzed in the public arena.

You mean do the same thing every other religious nut does when their “holy book” is criticized for being bull****?

Gee, what a fair standard…>>Reading, writing, arithmetic and research through the American educational system…should be sprinkled with dislike of Jews, evangelical Christians and democracy.

    LOL!!!!!

how the fukk do you lace MATH with jew-bashing?!?!?

  16. Did you check out the CFR’s website. I checked out the website and went to their About page, this is what it says:

    >>>>Welcome to http://www.cfr.org, the website of the Council on Foreign Relations. It is designed to be an online resource for everyone in these turbulent times who wants to learn more about the complex international issues challenging policy-makers and citizens alike.

Thinking about and discussing pressing foreign-policy issues is a long-established tradition at the Council on Foreign Relations, a nonpartisan and independent membership organization. As you can learn by reading our mission statement, the Council has promoted understanding of foreign policy and America’s role in the world since its founding in 1921. It does this in a variety of ways: by convening meetings at which government officials, global leaders, and Council members debate major foreign-policy issues; by operating a think tank that is home to the world’s most prominent scholars of international affairs; by sponsoring Task Forces and commissioning books and reports; and by publishing Foreign Affairs, the leading journal of global politics.

We see http://www.cfr.org as a way to further that mission. Our goal is to make http://www.cfr.org the best single website for users searching for information and insights about international politics. Users will, of course, find materials produced at the Council on Foreign Relations: transcripts of on-the-record meetings, books by scholars, Background Q & A’s by the staff of cfr.org, op-eds and journal articles by Council fellows, and much more.

But that is only half of the story. Unlike most other think-tank sites, cfr.org is not limited to “our” material. http://www.cfr.org is your guide to the best information and analysis, regardless of whether it is produced here at the Council or another institution. Website researchers, working with the Council’s library and fellows, scour the Internet for material from other think tanks, government agencies, educational institutions, and nongovernmental organizations in order to deliver the widest range of high-quality information and insight.

Look at our homepage. That is your portal to the wealth of resources on http://www.cfr.org. It features packages of material tied to the most pressing issues of the day. You will find everything you need to understand a fast-moving international event:

links to primary documents: treaties, UN resolutions, speeches, communiques, etc.
links to background material: probing interviews with experts; brief “explainers” reported and written by the editorial staff of cfr.org that delve deeply into an issue; and reports from the Council, other institutions, and government agencies.
links to news coverage from media sources around the world.
Looking for information on a specific topic? Material on the site is organized by region, by issue, and by publication type, and all of these categories are cross-indexed. Click on By Region, By Issue, or By Publication Type (the orange tabs at the top of this page, or in the left-hand column on the homepage) to quickly narrow your search. Or you can search the entire database using our site search engine.

The site also provides a comprehensive account of the history and activities of the Council in New York , at its Washington, DC, office, and throughout the country. A new section of the site gathers material and resources specifically for use by college educators. And it offers special features, like Need to Know, a guide to what the foreign-policy community is reading, writing, and saying. We plan to add more features in the months ahead, in the hope that using cfr.org will become part of your regular web habit. In the meantime, please let us know what you think of cfr.org and how we can continue to make improvements.

  17. […] Progress for America […]

  18. “For those who may be confused by the controversies surrounding the “New World Order”, a One-World-Government, and American concern over giving the UN more power; those unaware of the issues involved; and those wishing more background, I offer the following……

The issue involves much more than a difference of philosophy, or political viewpoint. Growing up in the midst of the “Cold War,” our generation were taught that those who attempted to abolish our national sovereignty and overthrow our Constitutional government were committing acts of treason. Please judge for yourself if the group discussed is guilty of such.

If one group is effectively in control of national governments and multinational corporations; promotes world government through control of media, foundation grants, and education; and controls and guides the issues of the day; then they control most options available. The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), and the financial powers behind it, have done all these things, and promote the “New World Order”, as they have for over seventy years…..

Georgetown professor Dr. Carroll Quigley (Bill Clinton’s mentor while at Georgetown) wrote about the goals of the investment bankers who control central banks: “… nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole… controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences.”….

Though unconstitutional, as only “The Congress shall have Power…To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof…” (Article I, Section 8, U.S. Constitution) the Federal Reserve Act was passed in December 1913; ostensibly to stabilize the economy and prevent further panics, but as Lindberg warned Congress: “This act establishes the most gigantic trust on earth…the invisible government by the money power, proven to exist by the Money Trust investigation, will be legalized.” The Great Depression and numerous recessions later, it is obvious the Federal Reserve produces inflation and federal debt whenever it desires, but not stability….

Since that time nearly ALL presidential candidates have been CFR members. President Truman, who was not a member, was advised by a group of “wise men,” all six of whom were CFR members, according to Gary Allen. In 1952 and 1956, CFR Adlai Stevenson challenged CFR Eisenhower.

In 1960, CFR Kennedy (who was probably killed because he had the courage NOT to go along with all their plans) CFR Nixon. In 1964 the GOP stunned the Establishment by nominating its candidate over Nelson Rockefeller.

Rockefeller and the CFR wing proceeded to picture Barry Goldwater as a dangerous radical. In 1968 CFR Nixon ran against CFR Humphrey. The 1972 “contest” featured CFR Nixon vs. CFR McGovern.

CFR candidates for president include George McGovern, Walter Mondale, Edmund Muskie, John Anderson, and Lloyd Bentsen. In 1976 we had Jimmy Carter, who is a member of the Trilateral Commission, created by David Rockefeller and CFR member Zbigniew Brzezinski with the goal of economic linkage between Japan, Europe, and the United States, and: “…managing the world economy…a smooth and peaceful evolution of the global system.” We have also had (though his name strangely disappears from the membership list in 1979) CFR director (1977-79) George Bush, and last but not least, CFR member Bill Clinton.

They have all promoted the “New World Order,” controlled by the United Nations. The problem is that “…the present United Nations organization is actually the creation of the CFR and is housed on land in Manhattan donated to it by the family of current CFR chairman David Rockefeller,” as Pat Robertson describes it……./

One re-occurring view was stated in the 50th anniversary issue of “Foreign Affairs,” the official publication of the CFR. In an article by Kingman Brewster, Jr. entitled “Reflections on Our National Purpose.” Our purpose should be, according to him, to do away with our nationality, to “take some risks in order to invite others to pool their sovereignty with ours…”

These “risks” include disarming to the point where we would be helpless against the “peace-keeping” forces of a global UN government. We should happily surrender our sovereignty to the world government in the interests of the “world community.”

Today we have the spectacle of Spc. 4 Michael New, a U.S. soldier in Germany who refuses to wear the uniform of the UN, facing an “administrative discharge.” He states rightly that he swore an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution, not the United Nations. Many other Americans have taken that same oath, such as myself, and believe it is our sworn duty still to defend the Constitution, since an oath sworn before God must be fulfilled. (Why else do we swear to tell the truth in our courts, or when taking public office?) Is it a crime these days to actually BELIEVE in God and the oath that was taken?

Meanwhile, others who attempt to destroy the Constitution and our sovereignty are given honors and position…At least they are not hypocrites…only supremely arrogant.

“In short, the ‘house of world order’ will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down…An end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old fashioned assault…” in the opinion of Richard N. Gardner, former deputy assistant Secretary of State in “Foreign Affairs,” April 1974.

James Warburg, son of CFR founder Paul Warburg, and a member of FDR’s “brain trust,” testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on February 17, 1950, “We shall have world government whether or not you like it–by conquest or consent.”

Is this an AMERICAN speaking, or a dangerous lunatic? Who is this “We” who threatens to CONQUER us?”

%These are but a few excerpts. I don’t why they didn’t show up in my previous post. But go read the article. Check it out for yourself.

  19. I read that report by the “CFR.” Then I did some resaearch on them.

The Council on Foreign Relations appears to be something other than what it really is all about.

    Further,

    Further goals:

With the internet, Americans and other individuals within their onw natyion can become informed. They can become more active in their government. They can prevent not only men of evil such as bin Laden from succeeding in his goal for a world of only Muslims, they can also prevent such men as these, the so called “progressives,” and others who do not have the interests of the people at large at heart. and force them to submit to the will of the people in Democratic societies. But that will only come about if people stop believing what they are told and start educating themselves on the facts and forcing enemies of freedom of the people to submit to the power of the will of the people.

  20. Sorry, you got your facts wrong again. Clinton is and was a “globaliist.” He also did bot believe the terrorists were a threat. When told about possible attacks by plane he and his intelligrnce agency determined no terrorists would do such a thing while still on board!!

As far as your questions not being answered, you have gotten some pretty good ones so far but I don’t think you liked them.I am gathering quite a bit of info. I hope you will read it. Then come back with your comments. It is almost done. But I will give you this to think about and “check out” for youself:

“In December 2002, Dr. Anis Shorrosh, wrote the
following article. Please feel free to share the
material with everybody and anybody you wish in
the hopes that it will open the eyes of Christians and Muslims alike.

‘TWENTY-YEAR PLAN FOR USA ISLAM TARGETS AMERICA’

    1. Terminate America’s freedom of speech by
replacing it with hate crime bills state-wide and
nation-wide.2. Wage a war of words using black
leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jesse Jackson
and other visible religious personalities to promote
Islam as the original African-American’s religion
while Christianity is for the whites! Strange
enough, no one tells the African-Americans that it
was the Arab Muslims who captured them and sold
them as slaves, neither the fact that in Arabic the
word for black and slave is the same, “Abed.”

    3. Engage the American public in dialogues,
    discussions, debates in colleges, universities,
public libraries, radio, TV, churches and mosques
on the virtues of Islam. Proclaim how it is
historically another religion like Judaism and
Christianity with the same monotheistic faith.

    4. Nominate Muslim sympathizers to political office
for favorable legislation to Islam and support
    potential sympathizers by block voting.

    5. Take control of as much of Hollywood, the press,
TV, radio and the internet by buying the
    corporations or a controlling stock.

    6. Yield to the fear of imminent shut-off of the
lifeblood of America – the black gold. America’s
economy depends on oil, (1000 products are
derived from oil), so does its personal and
    industrial transportation and manufacturing -41%
    comes from the Middle East.

    7. Yell, “foul, out-of-context, personal
    interpretation, hate crime, Zionist, un-American,
inaccurate interpretation of the Quran” anytime
Islam is criticized or the Quran is analyzed in the
    public arena.

    8. Encourage Muslims to penetrate the White
House, specifically with Islamists who can
articulate a marvelous and peaceful picture of
    Islam. Acquire government positions, get
membership in local school boards. Train Muslims
as medical doctors to dominate the medical field,
research and pharmaceutical companies. Take over
the computer industry. Establish Middle Eastern
restaurants throughout the U.S. to connect
planners of Islamization in a discreet way. Ever
notice how numerous Muslim doctors in America
are, when their countries need them more
    desperately than America?

    9. Accelerate Islamic demographic growth via:
    a. Massive immigration (100,000 annually since
    1961)
    b. No birth control whatsoever – every baby of
Muslim parents is automatically a Muslim and
    cannot choose another religion later.
    c. Muslim men must marry American women and
Islamize them (10,000 annually). Then divorce
them and remarry every five years – since one
cannot have the Muslim legal permission to marry
four at one time. This is a legal solution in America.
    d. Convert angry, alienated black inmates and turn
them into militants (so far 2000 released inmates
have joined Al Qaida world-wide). Only a few have
been captured in Afghanistan and on American
soil. So far – sleeping cells!

    10. Reading, writing, arithmetic and research
    through the American educational system,
mosques and student centers (now 1500) should
be sprinkled with dislike of Jews, evangelical
Christians and democracy. There are 300
exclusively Muslim schools with loyalty to the
    Quran, not the U.S. Constitution.

    11. Provide very sizeable monetary Muslim grants
to colleges and universities in America to establish
“Centers for Islamic studies” with Muslim directors
to promote Islam in higher education institutions.

    12. Let the entire world know through propaganda,
speeches, seminars, local and national media that
terrorists have high-jacked Islam, not the truth,
which is Islam high-jacked the terrorists.
Furthermore in January of 2002, Saudi Arabia’s
Embassy in Washington mailed 4500 packets of the
Quran, videos, promoting Islam to America’s high
schools–free. They would never allow us to
    reciprocate.

    13. Appeal to the historically compassionate and
sensitive Americans for sympathy and tolerance
towards the Muslims in America who are portrayed
as mainly immigrants from oppressed countries.

    14. Nullify America’s sense of security by
    manipulating the intelligence community with
    misinformation. Periodically terrorize Americans of
impending attacks on bridges, tunnels, water
supplies, airports, apartment buildings and malls.
(We have experienced this too often since 9-11.)

    15. Form riots and demonstrations in the prison
system demanding Islamic Sharia as the way of
    life, not American’s justice system.

    16. Open numerous charities throughout the U.S.
but use the funds to support Islamic terrorism with
    American dollars.

    17. Raise interest in Islam on America’s campuses
by insisting that freshman take at least one course
on Islam. Be sure that the writer is a bonafide
American, Christian, scholarly and able to cover up
the violence in the Quran and express the peaceful,
    spiritual and religious aspect only.

    18. Unify the numerous Muslim lobbies in
    Washington, mosques, Islamic student centers,
    educational organizations, magazines and papers
by internet and an annual convention to coordinate
plans, propagate the faith and engender news in
    the media of their visibility.

    19. Send intimidating messages and messengers
to the outspoken individuals who are critical of
Islam and seek to eliminate them by hook or crook.

    20. Applaud Muslims as loyal citizens of the US by
spotlighting their voting record as the highest
percentage of all minority and ethic groups in
    America.”

Everything I have read has indicated that the
Muslim faith under the teachings of Muhammad
require Muslims to make the world Muslim. That
Jesus was just another prophet. I can find no
miracles performed by Muhammad. I can find
many instances of killing. Jesus killed no one. He did bring back someone from death, cured
illnesses and spread the word of God. He fed the
hungary. He also talked of God being a loving and
forgiving God. Jesus’ teaches to believe and
follow God talked about loving God. Islam teaches
love Allah or die! Frankly, over servitude I
    prefer death.

  21. Sorry for the third post, but my original post got eaten up.
“As for the body armor, well LC, you need to do some research and then place the blame where it really belongs. You can thank President Clinton for that not Mr. Rumsfeld. Clinton appointed Bernie Sanders, an avowed Socialists and extreme leftist to a job that gave him the ability to cut money needed for the nation’s intelligence community. Clinton also cut military spending for military for personnel, equipment, upgrades and any other aspect of military spending for eight years.”

Clinton did cut spending one year, then for the next 6 years he increased spending. http://www-tech.mit.edu/V114/N60/defense.60w.html

He didn’t spend as much as Bush but he did recognize the threat of biological and chemical warfare, the threat of terrorism, and the threat of nuclear war with countries like China and Russia. This article, not sure if you’ve read it, brings up some concerns about defense, flaws, and the Clinton admin. I think it does a decent job explaining it, I haven’t read the whole thing, but from what I’ve read, I think it does have some good points. http://www.policyreview.org/oct99/thompson.html

Interesting I found this site that Repubs. were responsible for the cuts under Clinton: http://www.okimc.org/newswire.php?story_id=165&print_page=true&include_comments=true

During the Clinton admin, we knew where Bin Laden was, but yet we didn’t arrest him. We knew that he was funding attempts to make bombs that would blow up on planes. But we just let him go. As an Arab guide said on ABC’s Path to 9/11, “Are there any men left in Washington or are they all cowards?” Clinton backed anti-terror legislation, but the GOP dismissed terrorism as being a “phony threat.” Clinton’s concerns were justified, but Repubs, it appears wanted to disagree with him because he was from the opposing side. The WH during Bush’s admin, got a memo months before 9/11 titled something like, “Bin Laden to bomb the WTC.” Why didn’t they take it seriously? Was anything done about it? Days before 9/11, a suspicious amount of sales transactions of stocks were occurring on Wall Stree, isn’t that insider trading? Isn’t insider trading illegal? Did these corporations know about the threat, while Americans had no clue that their lives would be in danger?

Since WWII, Echelon, a surveillance program has been in existence. Clinton authorized domestic spying on the US while he was in office. Even before 9/11 about 6 or 7 months before, the NSA was keeping track of all our phone records and emails.

“The GOP used the scandal to distract Dems and weaken their image from the public so they could win, and it worked. I think it’s a pretty “dirty” tactic.”

To add to my own quotation, the GOP made such a big deal out of it because of partisanship. You have a Democratic president and a Republican Congress, there will be friction there.

Sure Clinton got bad PR for the Lewinsky scandal, but what about this admin’s bad PR? Just yesterday or the day before, reports said that Armitage allegedly threatened Pakistan’s intelligence chief that if Pakistan didn’t back the US, then Pakistan would be attacked and sent back to the “stone age” or something like that. What about Plamegate? WMDs? What a joke! None were even found. Two UN inspectors reported about having none. What about ties between Al-quaeda and Hussein?

Yesterday Bush met with Pakistan’s Musharref. Pakistan’s government has signed a pact with pro-Taliban militants to ensure peace in the area. So there’s little chance, they’ll tell us where Bin Laden is or let us go arrest him. If they did, they’d be going back on their word and violence would spring up again. http://archive.gulfnews.com/articles/06/09/05/10065200.html
We should’ve got him when we had the chance…If there hadn’t been such a bruhaha about the Lewinsky scandal, maybe something would’ve been done. I think the negligence rests on both dems and repubs.

  22. The GOP used the scandal to distract Dems and weaken their image from the public so they could win, and it worked. I think it’s a pretty “dirty” tactic.

  23. I think I’m bringing up some good, valid questions. And yet, they’re being ignored. Now I understand the frustration of reporters to get answers from the WH staff, always skirting the question, how convenient.

We knew where Bin Laden was during the Clinton admin, but we did nothing. Why? Clinton wanted to push anti-terror legislation but the GOP opposed his efforts. One Repub. said terrorism was a “phony threat.”

He did cut spending but then he called for more spending for the next 6 years. http://www.foreignaffairs.org/19990701facomment986/john-hillen/defense-s-death-spiral-the-increasing-irrelevance-of-more-spending.html
It was Clinton who authorized Echelon, a program that surveys phone calls and emails. The NSA has been spying on Americans 6 or 7 months before the WTC attacks. Echelon has been around since WWII, which we used to spy on our enemies. Even today, we can still get information via satellite from countries overseas. from satellite stations.

Clinton didn’t ask Congress to go fight a war in Afghanistan did he? Didn’t Clinton pay for a building project to build an advanced nuclear weapon, that cost somewhere in the millions or billions of dollars? While the Clinton admin didn’t spend as much on defense as the Bush admin has, they did recognize the threat of biological warfare, that the US needed to maintain air superiority, and that we could be vulnerable to nuclear threats posed by countries who had nuclear power like Russia and China. I think this is a good article that talks about military supremacy and the Clinton admin. Not sure if you’ve read it and I haven’t read the whole thing, but I think it does a good job explaining it: http://www.policyreview.org/oct99/thompson.html

“So place the blame where it belongs. If Clibnton had done as much for our military and our intelligence agencies as he did for his “@ick,” we wouldn’t have had a 9/11.”

Clinton tried to push anti-terror legislation while he was in office, but the GOP refused. One Repub. said it was unnecessary or “phony.” What about the memo that the WH got that was titled something like, “Bin Laden to attack the US?” Did they do anything about it? I don’t think they took it as a serious threat. Years ago, the US had Bin Laden in sight, but why didn’t we do anything about it? While there has been much controversy about ABC’s Path to 9/11, there was one scene I think stood out to me, an Arab man who helped them find Bin Laden’s hideout says, “Are there any men left in Washington, or are they all cowards?” Why wasn’t Bin Laden arrested then? We knew he was funding a project to make bombs to blow up planes and we had proof, but the government did nothing. Why? 9/11 could’ve been avoided. And did you know that prior to 9/11, just days before, there was lots of sales transactions in stock at a huge rate? Doesn’t that seem strange or fishy to you? Isn’t that called insider trading, which is illegal here in the US? Why wait for 9/11 to happen to start beefing up airline security and homeland security? I think it could’ve been avoided or the effect could’ve been minimized.

  25. Man did I hit a nerve with this one! I didn’t know about the soldiers that were tortured, gutted and used as IED. I did find a story about terrorists in Iraq using their own countrymen like this after they killed them and mutilated their body. I’m gathering my stuff for the reason we are at war.

As for the body armor, well LC, you need to do some research and then place the blame where it really belongs. You can thank President Clinton for that not Mr. Rumsfeld. Clinton appointed Bernie Sanders, an avowed Socialists and extreme leftist to a job that gave him the ability to cut money needed for the nation’s intelligence community. Clinton also cut military spending for military for personnel, equipment, upgrades and any other aspect of military spending for eight years.

So place the blame where it belongs. If Clibnton had done as much for our military and our intelligence agencies as he did for his “@ick,” we wouldn’t have had a 9/11.

  26. FG-
Would you classify all Muslim countries as terrorist? So if US goes into Iran and troops were captured, would you consider those troops to be held captive by terrorists? Iran has nothing to do with terrorism. We want them to stop uranium enrichment. Is Saudi Arabia a terrorist country? Pakistan? Turkey? Syria? I’m not talking about terrorists, I’m talking about another country’s recognized military. A military recognized by the government that fights for and represents that country.

Just to get this question out there, how do you define terrorism? Not all who we believe are terrorists truly are terrorists.

  27. Texas Tornado~
Isn’t American ingenuity an amazing thing?!! Bravo to the NMNG!!!

    LC~
Do you recall the names Thomas Tucker and Kristian Menchaca?
They were soldiers who were captured, tortured, castrated, beheaded and turned into IEDs. That is how Muslim terrorists treat our soldiers when they are prisoners. I’m sure that their families would be delighted today to have their sons being “tortured” in Gitmo – loud music and sleep deprivation, three balanced meals each day, their chosen religous books, clean clothes, a bed – they would still be alive and unmutilated.

North Vietnam was a signatory to the Geneva conventions – ask anyone in custody in Vietnam how they were treated.

The Geneva conventions also states that to be entitled to them, the “soldier” must be in uniform and represent a nation. That kind of leaves out the terrorists, doesn’t it?

“Even animals treat their own kind with respect” – only in children’s books. You’ve obviously never spent much time around real animals. The animal analogy is fatuous…always has been. Find a new one, please.

  28. Yes, I remember. Were they at the Geneva Conventions? Not every country agreed to them or was even there. US was there and promised to uphold the guidelines. The US is an exemplary nation in many ways. Other countries look up to us. We need to set a good example. Torture is never justified. If any Muslim country took US prisoners, how do you think they’d be treated? They would take out all their hate on them. By treating prisoners like animals, interrogators are like barbarians. Even animals treat their own kind with respect.

  29. Lightcontrast,do you remember what happened to the first few soldiers to be killed in start of the Iraq war, just prior to Saddam’s ousting. They were burned, beheaded, and then there bodies were strung up to the top of a major bridge for all to see. Seems to me the Geneva Convention does not apply. Also, I am proud to say that the brave soldiers of the New Mexico National Guard have been the ones placed armour packages on humvees. They have been doing it ever since they were activated for service in Iraq. Finally, isn’t your Bush AWOL story only supported by the infamous CBS/Dan Rather “story.” I must say, not very strong.

DevilDog, enjoy the site. Found it through the Progress for America site, also the first time I’ve visited that. Definately enjoyed the ad.

  30. Lightcontrast ~ have you read about the Abu Ghraib prisoners demanding that the American soldiers come back now that the Iraqis have taken over guarding the prison? They want the Americans back because they treated them much better. And did you know that the “abuses” at Abu Ghraib that were shown over and over again in the media all happened in one weekend? Maybe if you would research a bit more you would discover there’s more to the story than what the media and the left’s anti-war, anti-Bush manual says.

  31. “I know from the guys in Iraq that they put their own armor on the vehicles. One of the units over there was using anything they could to do this.”

I heard that too. The guys shouldn’t have had to supply their own armor. That is the government’s duty. The government failed to provide for that. Rumsfeld got a lot of criticism for that as well as for not signing condolence letters. Do you know what he did instead? Instead, he used a signature stamp. As if soldiers dying is routine…(sarcasm). What does that tell you about the government? Did Bush or Cheney actually serve in any war? Bush got some Texas Senator to defer him and Cheney got deferred 5 times, 5 TIMES!!! Wow, the power of money and connections! Have you heard about the prisoner abuse scandals and the 3 Republican senators who oppose Bush’s defiance of the Geneva Conventions on their rules about treatment of POWs? If Bush can successfully overrule these rules, then when foreign countries capture Americans, how do you think the prisoners will be treated? I think their torture will be worse than the torture going on in Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, and in Iraq prisons. Has Bush thought of that? Can he relate to soldiers? I’m not convinced that he cares or that he understands the seriousness and the implications of overruling the Geneva Conventions’s standards.

Media may not always have its facts right, but It’s very likely that it’s more accurate than what the Bush admin will tell us.

Flag and Devil, why are we fighting the War in Iraq? Is it part of the War on Terror?

  32. I’m sorry to say that I couldn’t get the ad to work – :o(
    Gotta love computers..
Anyhoo – I’ll be looking forward to your coming post. You are so right – one must always look into “facts” and what organizations are all about. There is a alot of misinformation on the net – either because people don’t research or they have an agenda. It’s best to know all you can about something before making up your mind. Especially when it comes to voting – heh!

  33. I know from the guys in Iraq that they put their own armor on the vehicles. One of the units over there was using anything they could to do this.

But, since we tunneled in on this topic I have a few comments to make here. When an enemy attacks you, blows up your buildings, kills your troops by bombing your embassies [our land too], tries to kill or plans to kill your president, twice, once Saddam and once Al-Qeada, you don’t sit on your thumb and rotate over whether or not you have “all” the best of everything to retaliate. This is war! We didn’t start it but we have sat on our a$$ for over twenty years allowing them to get bolder and more deadly with each attack.

If I had only rocks, I toss damn rocks at them. You use what you have and you pray like hell it’s enough. Now, I’m going to post a new post with some of my many posts that also have backup material if anyone wants to read it.

  34. LC – It appears you don’t consult much for information, as all you have posted is factually wrong.

I don’t think anyone standing where bullets are coming at him worries much about his political ideology, but is, in fact, an eyewitness to history and could tell you what is going on on the ground – as opposed to someone stationed in a newsroom in New York. You should give more creedence to the people who die so you can say such nonsense.

Biased – we are all biased to our own world view, but we endanger ourselves and our society by choosing to believe every rumor that supports it, and ignore every fact that does not.

  35. Is there proof he didn’t go AWOL? Until I see otherwise, I have no reason to disbelieve that so-called “urban legend from the left.” I was speaking about the vehicles not the body armor. Milblogs will be biased(at least the ones who support Bush). I want a fairly objective look. I don’t consult blogs for my primary information.

  36. N.P. FlagGazer.

  37. Lighcontrast – you should check a few of your facts before you believe them. President Bush was in the Air National Guard, not the made up group you list. There is NO proof he went AWOL, just urban legend from the left. And, you should read some of the milblogs about what the men fighting have to say about some of the armor, especially the body armor. Also, Rumsfeld has been to Iraq several times since the incident you mention. As for what has been accomplished – read some milblogs or meet some troops – they will tell you that the only place this war is being lost is here in American will.

apologies for sticking my nose in DevilDog – I hate opinions and rumors stated as facts.

  38. I won’t claim that the Democratic party is better than the Republican party but I will say this, if you didn’t know until last year that troops in Iraq didn’t have properly protected vehicles to protect against roadside bombs, then you should really consider if Republicans really care about the troops. Bush has never been in combat, he even went AWOL when he was in the National Coast Guard reserves. Why spend more than $80 billion if you won’t provide troops with all the necessary equipment? Rumsfeld got some complaints from troops when he went back there last time, so he hasn’t been there since. Bush doesn’t know what it’s like. Neither do I, but I think he didn’t consider the possibility that the war would last this long. He probably thought, we can go in and win and be out of there by Christmas, pretty irresponsible and impulsive in my opinion. What has been achieved over there? Why are troops being put on extended tours of duty if we have made “progress?”

  39. Thank you FlagGazer. I just wanted to see if anyone would be willing to actually check for themselves. If people get nothing else from my blog, I will be happy if everyone accepts nothing at face value and checks it out fro themselves.

The Democratic party is over run by people who care less about Democratic ideals and more about their own insidious agenda. Had people been more willing to check things out for themselves and less willing to blindly accept the changes because it is their party, so it must be PL things would be different. I only hope it isn’t too late!

Lightcontrast, I’ll post a new post to answer your question.

Took that from their site. They are conservative. And that video is great!

  41. Who sponsors Progress for America? What is their mission statement? And my biggest question for you is, why do you think we’re fighting the War on Terror? I’m curious to know what your thoughts are.
