Israel finally has enough- Hezbollah must be destroyed.

Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah says, “We are in our full strength and power. Hezbollah is not fighting a battle for Hezbollah or even for Lebanon. We are now fighting a battle for the (Islamic) nation.” Hezbollah is made up of Shiite Muslim fighters. While Prime Minister Fouad Saniora is telling the people of Lebanon and the world they will regain control of the country, President Emile Lahoud says “Lebanon “will not surrender” to Israel’s attempts to batter it into submission.

The president of Lebanon supports Hezbollah and is also allied with Syria, while the Prime Minister is pro-western and wants to free Lebanon from Syrian control and interference. He wants a free, independent Lebanon. Israel has made gestures to the Lebanese people that Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran are common enemies of both and they ought to work together to defeat Hezbollah.

That was severalo days ago. Now the Prime Minister says if Israel puts ground forces into Lebanon, the Lebanese military will support Hezbollah. I supose that he really has no choice. Hezbollah is too big and powerful and their Lebanese Army does not all agree with the Prime Minister. Many of them support Hezbollah. The Lebanese Prime Minister isdistraught with the destruction taking place in his country. But, he is doing nothing to restrain Hezbollah. Doesn’t he or his peo[le care enough about their country to defend it by having the military engage Hezbollah. Are Arabs really that tied to the “we don’t fight other Arabs and Musims?” If so then why aren’t the Arab nations speaking out publicly at the massacres performed by the terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan to Muslims
Hezbollah has been using the break in fighting over the last few years to build up an arsenal of missiles, rockets, and other weaponry. These have apparently been altered and can now reach into the heart of Israel. If I were Israel, especially after the rhetoric from Iranian leadership that they would destroy Israel and wipe them off the face of the earth, I’d launch everything I had at Hezbollah before they had a chance to unleash their  full arsenal.

There will be no backing down by Hezbollah. For months Iran, Al-Qaeda, and the terrorists have  said something big of international ramifications was coming. I’d have to say it has arrived. Now at home here, politicians are gathering around like vultures sitting in a tree. The Democrats are allowing extremists to take over their party and strangle the ability of the administration to function effectively. The party refuses to clean its own house and the Republicans are backing off from what they ought to be doing to stop this attack on American Democracy.

What I want to know is where the hell are the UN troops who could and should be stepping into this battle. They should help destroy Hezbollah’s weaponry before Israel is destroyed. If the UN and other nations don’t step in we will be seeing genocide very shortly!!

Still no one will say that this is just another phase of the Islamic move to spread Islam world wide. Only the president seems to be aware of this. However there was one voice in the madness that is Washington politics. The other day Newt Gingrich called this the beginning of World War III. You go, Newt! Finally a semi intelligent comment.
Now I see in the news that France thinks the United States isn’t doing its job in stopping this war. Stop it- what ate the crazy. I think Israel ought to go in and wipe out the whgole damn bunch of them. Hezbollah is nothing but another terrorist organization like Al-Qaeda. The terrorist networks have spread worldwide. To France I say, “shit or get off the pot!”  That may sound crude. But it a very appropriate comment in response to France’s comments.

Why is it that when the U.S. stays out of the fray, we are criticized. When we do the right thing and go in to try to fix a mess, we are over stepping our bounds. You can’t have it both ways. Mr. Chirac, “Up yours!” If you don’t develop some guts and integrity that may be exactly what happens. Do you really think that these terrorists would leave France  alone if they succeeded in their goal to destroy the U.S.? Tell me, do you believe in the tooth fairy too?

The world powers better get their acts together and lend a hand in this conflict. Peace at any cost when it means you sit on your thumb and rotate is not peace.  What these terrorists are doing is the same thing the Nazi’s did before World War II. What the European Nations are doing is the same Bull shit they used then- appeasement. It doidn’t work then and it won’t work now.

I want to repost some thing I wrote in May of 2005. I think now is a good time to bring it up:

A Navy Capt.’s Warning
21st May 2005
In the beginning stages of the war, I found an interesting article about why we are at war in Iraq. I forget where I originally found the article. However the article is so to the point I like to periodically repost it. I think this article very clearly says why we went into Iraq. Read on:

“U.S. Navy Capt. Ouimette is the XO at NAS, Pensacola. AMERICA NEEDS TO WAKE UP! That’s what we think we heard on the 11th of September 2001 and maybe it was, but I think it should have been “Get Out of Bed!” In fact, I think the alarm clock has been buzzing since 1979, and we have continued to hit the snooze button and roll over for a few more minutes of peaceful sleep since then. It was a cool fall day in November 1979 in a country going through a religious and political upheaval when a group of Iranian Students attacked and seized the American Embassy in Tehran. This seizure was an outright attack on American soil; it was an attack that held the world’s most powerful country hostage and paralyzed a Presidency. The attack on this sovereign U. S. embassy set the stage for events to follow for the next 23 years. America was still reeling from the aftermath of the Vietnam experience and had a serious threat from the Soviet Union when then, President Carter, had to do something. He chose to conduct a clandestine raid in the desert. The ill-fated mission ended in ruin, but stood as a symbol of America’s inability to deal with terrorism. America’s military had been decimated and downsized/right sized since the end of the Vietnam War. A poorly trained, poorly equipped and poorly organized military was called on to execute a complex mission that was doomed from the start. Shortly after the Tehran experience, Americans began to be kidnapped and killed throughout the Middle East. America could do little to protect her citizens living and working abroad. The attacks against US soil continued. In April of 1983 a large vehicle packed with high explosives was driven into the US Embassy compound in Beirut. When it explodes, it kills 63 people. The alarm went off again and America hit the Snooze Button once more. Then just six short months later a large truck heavily laden down with over 2500 pounds of TNT smashed through the main gate of the US Marine Corps headquarters in Beirut and 241 US servicemen are killed. America mourns her dead and hit the Snooze Button once more. Two months later in December 1983, another truck loaded with explosives is driven into the US Embassy in Kuwait, and America continues her slumber. The following year, in September 1984, another van was driven into the gates of the US Embassy in Beirut and America slept. Soon the terrorism spreads to Europe. In April 1985 a bomb explodes in a restaurant frequented by US soldiers in Madrid. Then in August a Volkswagen loaded with explosives is driven into the main gate of the US Air Force Base at Rhein-Main, 22 are killed and the snooze alarm is buzzing louder and louder as US interests are continually attacked. Fifty-nine days later a cruise ship, the Achille Lauro is hijacked and we watched as an American in a wheelchair is singled out of the passenger list and executed. The terrorists then shift their tactics to bombing civilian airliners when they bomb TWA Flight 840 in April of 1986 that killed 4 and the most tragic bombing, Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988, killing 259. America wants to treat these terrorist acts as crimes; in fact we are still trying to bring these people to trial. These are acts of war. The wake up alarm is getting louder and louder. The terrorists decide to bring the fight to America. In January 1993, two CIA agents are shot and killed as they enter CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia. The following month, February 1993, a group of terrorists are arrested after a rented van packed with explosives is driven into the underground parking garage of the World Trade Center in New York City. Six people are killed and over 1000 are injured. Still this is a crime and not an act of war? The Snooze alarm is depressed again. Then in November 1995 a car bomb explodes at a US military complex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia killing seven service men and women. A few months later in June of 1996, another truck bomb explodes only 35 yards from the US military compound in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. It destroys the Khobar Towers, a US Air Force barracks, killing 19 and injuring over 500. The terrorists are getting braver and smarter, as they see that America does not respond decisively. They move to coordinate their attacks in a simultaneous attack on two US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. These attacks were planned with precision. They kill 224. America responds with cruise missile attacks and goes back to sleep. The USS Cole was docked in the port of Aden, Yemen for refueling on 12 October 2000, when a small craft pulled along side the ship and exploded killing 17 US Navy Sailors. Attacking a US War Ship is an act of war, but we sent the FBI to investigate the crime and went back to sleep. And of course you know the events of 11 September 2001. Most Americans think this was the first attack against US soil or in America. How wrong they are. America has been under a constant attack since 1979 and we chose to hit the snooze alarm and roll over and go back to sleep. In the news lately we have seen lots of finger pointing from every high officials in government over what they knew and what they didn’t know. But if you’ve read the papers and paid a little attention I think you can see exactly what they knew. You don’t have to be in the FBI or CIA or on the National Security Council to see the pattern that has been developing since 1979. The President is right on when he says we are engaged in a war. I think we have been in a war for the past 23 years and it will continue until we as a people decide enough is enough. America needs to “Get out of Bed” and act decisively now. America has been changed forever. We have to be ready to pay the price and make the sacrifice to ensure our way of life continues. We cannot afford to keep hitting the snooze button again and again and roll over and go back to sleep. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Admiral Yamamoto said “…it seems all we have done is awakened a sleeping giant.” This is the message we need to disseminate to terrorists around the world. Support Our Troops and support President Bush for having the courage, political or militarily, to address what so many who preceded him didn’t have the backbone to do both Democrat and Republican. This is not a political thing to be hashed over in an election year this is an AMERICAN thing. This is about our Freedom and the Freedom of our children in years to come.”

Now the U.N.  wants a cease fire. How the hell does one side call a cease fire during a war unless they surrender. When you are attacked by a relentless enemy that simply refuses to back down, who only uses the one sided cease fire to rebuild forces, resupply and spread even further. Iran is behind this. They probably already have the bomb. They probably bought some of that missing Russian weaponry. They are also probaly using their stalling techniques with the U.N. to backwards engineer so they can make more bombs. You can bet if Israel moves into Lebanon, both Iran and Syria will move in like vultures after road kill. They most vassuredly will have support fropm Venezuela and North Korea.

If Kofi Anan can’t make the tough decisions, he ought to step down. We need leadership in the U.N. We need someone there who knows when to negotiate and when to fight. I wonder if he would be so blase if his own native country were under attack? Or does the UN plan to sit back and watch another massacre like it did in Rwanda?

  1. Cheeysbits, I see someone has done their homework. You are so correct in your statements. One thing that has struck me in all this. Israel has suffered fewer casualties because their civilians are living in bomb shelters. Apparently the only such provisions for such in Lebanon is for the terrorists. In many cases these are also means to go underground and attack Israel. I could be wrong but the number of missles set against Israel seems far greater in number than those sent in by Israel.

I know Lebenon is a new Democracy, but why doesn’t it call up its military to stop and control hezbollah. At the very beginning of my blogging I wrote about how the terrorists used social plans and aide to gain support and control of the locals. There is a message here that keeps being ignored!

  2. Hmm, if there is another major attack on American soil like that of 9/11 then what Spanky said may come true to an extent.

The far left anti-war voice will be null and will be muted by moderate and right wing groups and media coverage. The Democrats will suffer considerably in 2008 when it comes to election because they wish to shove Global Warming as America’s number one threat and have yet to offer coherent solutions to National Security problems or how to battle terrorists let alone focused on it as being a true War. In the minds of Democrats, the War on Terrorism is in reality Bush’s private little war and its all hyped up to scare people into following him. Infact the only things Democrats have offered to the plate is negative statements and a constant anti-war/ pro-terrorist support which has hindered America’s true capablity to fighting World War 4! (The Cold War was really World War 3 if you take a look at the multiple theaters of war and the fear of brinkmenship).

Israel has every right to defend itself and destroy and crush its enemies. Ceasefires have never worked in human history and work as an exploit for a power hungry faction to readjust fighting tatics, resupply, rearm and redelopy in underbelly sections of their enemey. The Arab societies may call that they are being brutaly killed and suffering mass murder by the Jewish armies, but considering the Arab fighting forces STARTED by attacking Israeli civilians who only want to go about their daily lives in peace, they have no right to complain when a stronger and better equpiped force fights back and fights back harder than they thought. Civilian deaths is a shame, but when Hezbollah uses chidren and women as shields and recruits for their forces, no pity should be given to such people who willingly works with such evil.

  3. Lol, Spanky, you have had a bad hair day. While I often feel the same, I know it just won’t work. But people are beginning to find them out! Yea! About time.

Now Hezbollah, I think you are, sadly, correct.

  4. The Muslims are just going to keep on coming until we effectively wipe them out. Think of the Middle Ages when they came in droves to conquer whole cities. What we should do is wipe out the left wing liberals along with them and throw in a great majority of the journalists and the world will become a much better place.
