It never occurred to me to write ground rules or expectations on my blog so commenters know what is or isn’t OK to post. I have been blessed with a group of wonderful readers who regularly read my posts and make some great comments. Most agree, but that isn’t necessary to post as long as your disagreement is respectful.

I love for people to write about whatever my posts evoke in them. I love commenters who speak from the heart. Naturally I love for them to be positive comments but I realize that won’t always be the case. I don’t care how long your post is as long as you don’t:

1. Demean our troops in any way
2. Demean our country in any way

I don’t care if you are a Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, or whatever. However, be forewarned, if you are of a Marxist, communist, fascist, or socialist persuasion you will have a problem here. Especially if you do number one or number two above. Frankly, from all I have read and studied of these ideologies, I find they are totally incompatible with Democracy and personal freedom.

So again be forewarned. I will defend by word or even my very life the freedoms and values of our country. I won’t hesitate to tell you if you don’t like it here then go live in one of those countries that has the type of government you want. Then, I’ll patiently wait for you to come crawling back if you are lucky enough to survive in your idea of “freedom!”

Remember, my freedom allows you to say or be what you want to be, yours would take away mine. But, I promise you one thing, that won’t happen without a fight.

  1. hahahahahaha………………………………………………………………………….hahahahaha……………………………………hahahaha…….me too, lol.

Thank you for that awesome post.

  2. devildog6771, I am humbled by your comments concerning the remarks I made on a previous post of your. Again, I thank you for your kind words. Your stories have a way of bringing the most intimate parts of me I haven’t shared with anyone, anywhere. I guess some of the things you touch on remind me of me dad, and the respect I have for him. (Though I haven’t told him often enough of my respect). I guess another reason, is the time frame that you were in ‘Nam, coincides considerably when he was over there.
Though I have never served in the military, I too would defend my country to the last breath, something some people today find utterly hard to believe. I know I was raised in a different time, different world than most of ‘young’ persons of today were, so that makes me somewhat of an oddity these days. I believe that a man should hold a door open for a lady, he should help a little old lady across the street, and never ever raise his hand to a woman, ever. (Oh, I have known a couple who I would have loved to, but that is something I would never do, ever).
For all of those people who wish to live in a ‘socialist utopia’ I say, please do, and leave my country. I lived not far from “Checkpoint Charlie” during the 60’s, and saw how utterly GRAY and forbidding that life can be. I have lived in countries where democracy was in its fledgling state, and today a number of those countries are sliding back into their socialist ideals. To bad, because there was so much promise in those countries. As for Cindy Sheehag, well, sorry devildog6771, you are on your own. lol (That is one woman I’m afraid I would have to slap). Someone has too, just to put some sense back into her head.

  3. Yes I did. But then I got a post from Michael. He was actually the reason I posted this comment. I wanted him amd others to know I don’t care if someone posts comments over a couple lines. That isn’t always enough to say what you want to say. What I really like is to wriye a post and the next thing you know you have all these great comments about the post or something a commentors posted and next thing you know you have a really good and respectgul inter change of ideas. Or what I post reminds someone of something that touches them and they in turn share back like when I write about Mike or the tiume I spent in the military. I have noticed that the personal type of posts draw out many people either to share or support. The only post I have had that were a little negative were not directed at me and we from people who had someone the knew or a relative killed except maybe pne. But even his post was done respectru;lly.

But believe me, if I ever got a post from Cindy Sheehan, I will need all of you to help me be civil.

  4. I see you had some visitors that tried to sting you. They must have missed the part of you being a Marine…

  5. Thank you Stacy.

  6. I agree with you 100%.
