“Smash Scores” Big Time on Behalf of Troops

Over at AirborneVet’s Blog, The Universe and Other Things, there is an interesting post, “GO SMASH GO!.” It links to The Military Outpost. There is s post there, SMASH vs. Filner. The post covers an “Out of Iraq” forum. The main speaker was Congressman Bob Filner. You really have to read this article. Smash asked some very pointed questions and made the Congressman look like a bumbling idiot.

If ever a story showed the true colors of those behind the anti-war movement and the Bush bashing cause, this is that story. I just wonder that the media report on their “discussion!” Frankly this story epitomizes just how much some of our elected officials support our troops and their efforts in Iraq.

I did a little research on Congress Filner. I got a little profile on him and a copy of his campaign contributors. I also found he was a member of the Progressive Caucus. I did a little organizational tree here. So take a look:

Profile: discoverthenetworks.org

Campaign Contributors: opensecrets.org

Organizational Affiliations:

1. Progressive Caucus [http://bernie.house.gov/pc/]
: Radical caucus of more than 50 members of the House of Representatives
Founded in 1991 by Bernie Sanders of the Democratic Socialists of America

2. The progressive Caucus is affiliated with The Democratic Socialists of America [http://www.dsausa.org/dsa.html]
: Largest Socialist organization in the U.S.

3. The Democratic Socialists of America is a member of United For Peace and Justice (UFPJ)[http://www.unitedforpeace.org/]:Anti-American, anti-war coalition consisting of more than 800 local and national groups

4. United For Peace and Justice is an off shoot of International ANSWER [http://www.internationalanswer.org/] :Anti-war front group for the Marxist-Leninist Workers World Party
Founded after the 9/11 attacks to oppose the War on Terror

5. The Workers World Party (WWP)[http://www.workers.org]: The Workers World Party (WWP) is a Marxist-Leninist sect that was the sponsor and organizer of the major national demonstrations against the war in Iraq is also one of the most important organizations on the left.

6. Democratic Party [http://www.democrats.org]
: the second largest political party in the United States

What really concerns me about all this is the fact that when rallies, speeches, and other organized events take place and these people are involved, they do not tell the listeners who they really are. Or what organization they really support. I think the only time one needs to lie by omission is when they are deceiving the listener. That means you and me!
