What is “Operation Higgins?”

In the War on Terror, there is a “glitch” that prevents captured soldiers from being classified as POW’s. Just like the Guidelines for the Purple Heart do not cover all our troops, even though they should, there is a policy [and law] in our Government that will prevent you from being classified as a POW. There is also a reason why the Government won’t change it unless we make them. Read this excerpt then go to the link and read the entire article. This greatly impacts what can happen to you if you are captured in this conflict and how willing the Government will be to rescue you!! “A year and a half after he was taken, his inert body was seen on television screens around the world, hanging by the neck. It was to be more than two years later — December 1991 – that his remains were dumped on a Beirut street, to be buried with full honors in the National Veterans’ Cemetery at Quantico, Virginia.”

Consider offering your support. I suspect this is why Sgt Matt Maupin is still not considered a POW. Which as far as I am concerned he should.
