War in Iraq

There just seems to be no end to the methods the terrorists will use in Iraq to kill. To think anyone could stoop so low as to call the police to a house and have it booby trapped to explode.

I suppose now that bin Laden has a new tape out, the terrorists in Iraq will be even more violent. I have heard people say that what we call terrorists are really freedom fighters. Well if these are freedom fighters, why would they want to stop the elections?

The elections would set up a new government elected by the Iraqi people. After the elections are over and the newly elected government is up and running the United States and coalition forces need only stay until the New Iraqi government has an established military and police force to defend Iraq and keep order.

For the first time in God knows how long, Iraq would be self determining. There would be no pretectorate. No outside governments taking all their resources. There would be no puppet leaders appointed by an outside government. They would have their own leader chosen by themselves in their own elections.

I simply find it hard to comprehend that the Iraqi people would allow themselves to be terrorized in this manner. Have they been beaten down so much they have lost their own will to fight for their own freedom? That they would allow a bunch of terrorists to
install another government worse then the one they had under SH? I really would like to understand how the Iraqi people, not the terrorists, feel about all this!!

One Response to “War in Iraq”

  1. Just thought I’d tell you — the Robin Williams’ movie was called “Good Morning Vietnam”.
