Check out “TV’s Bad News Brigade” by Media Research – you’re going to love it!
Media Research Center [America's Media Watchdog] has done a special report TV’s Bad News Brigade on the broadcasts of ABC, CBS, and NBC from January 1, 2005 to September 30, 2005. The study is a very thorough study of the network newscasts. For those of us who regularly read the milblogs, the results of the study were no surprise. But I am sure a major portion of Americans do not fully realize all that has been done in Iraq by our troops. That is because of the biased and negative reporting by the network newscasts.
This report is so exhaustive, and even to me, rather surprising in some of its findings that I am not going to do a synopsis. I would not do justice. Please go to the link though and read both pages of the report. It is well written, fair, and well supported with statistical data. There are even comments from our troops seeking their take on the media’s coverage of the war. This really is a “must read!”
